Favourite Environment

Best in semi shade on a verandah or covered patio, but will grow happily in full sun or full shade. A great indoor plant in a well-lit position. Hardy.

Preference

Like most cacti, the zig zag cactus houseplant does best when allowed to dry out between watering. During summer, trial watering once every 7-10 days if it is in a sunny position--possibly less if it is in a shady space. During winter, cut your regular watering in half.
