ROSEMARY

Botanical Name

Rosmarinus Officinalis, Rosmarinus Officinalis 'Prostratus'.

Nickname

Rosemary, Hanging Rosemary.

Birthplace

Native to the Mediterranean.

Favourite Environment

Hot, dry climates. Full sun. Incredibly drought tolerant once established.

Drinking
Preference

After planting, water regularly and deeply. Once established, rosemary can withstand long periods without water. Most herbs, including rosemary, thrive on being trimmed regularly. The general rule for trimming rosemary is not to take more than one-third of the plant at any time and make cuts just above a leaf joint. And don't cut into bare, leafless wood or it may not reshoot.
