Dioon Spinulosum.

Giant Dioon, Gum Palm, Blue Fern Palm.

Native to the East Coast and South of Mexico. 

This handsome palm-like cycad enjoys full sun, but it also does well in very shady conditions. Drought tolerant once established. This plant can live up to 1,500 years.

These are primarily dry-climate plants and can tolerate desert-like conditions, though still appreciate regular watering and fertilisation. Water more during the warmer, growing months (once every week or two) – and less in the colder, winter months. If the Dioon is outdoors and benefiting from regular rainfall, you may never need to water it.
