Drinking
Preference
Buxus like and need water. As a general rule, 2-3 deep waterings per week is required in warmer months, during the plant’s first year, and when establishing in a pot. Once the Buxus is established, and in the winter months, you may be able to decrease the water to 1-2 days during the shrub’s second growing season. When watering your Buxus, ensure it is watered until water is running out the bottom of the pot. A Buxus will benefit from an all-purpose plant food once or twice a year during its growing period and liquid tomato fertiliser as an additional boost if it is not thriving and brilliantly green.
